  • Capital B, a French bitcoin treasury company listed on Euronext Paris, confirmed the acquisition of 13 BTC for EUR 0.97 million, bringing its total holdings to 3,538 BTC
  • The company’s total acquisition cost across all its bitcoin holdings now stands at roughly EUR 310.6 million, an average of about EUR 87,805 per BTC, with a year-to-date BTC yield of 2.20%
  • The purchase was funded through a series of “ATM” capital increases with asset manager TOBAM, issuing 172,978 new shares at an average price of EUR 5.68

Capital B disclosed the purchase in a regulated press release distributed via Actusnews Wire on September 28, 2026, under the headline “Capital B confirms the acquisition of 13 BTC for EUR 0.97 million, the holding of a total of 3,538 BTC and a BTC yield of 2.20%.”

The company, listed on Euronext Paris and formerly known as The Blockchain Group, said the latest purchase brings its total bitcoin treasury to 3,538 BTC, acquired at a cumulative cost of approximately EUR 310.6 million, or an average price of roughly EUR 87,805 per bitcoin. Capital B reported its year-to-date BTC yield, a metric the company uses to track the growth in bitcoin held per share, at 2.20%.

The purchase was funded through a series of “at-the-market,” or ATM, capital increases carried out with asset manager TOBAM, under which Capital B issued 172,978 new shares at an average price of EUR 5.68 apiece. Using freshly issued equity to fund incremental bitcoin purchases, rather than debt or existing cash reserves, has become Capital B’s standard financing mechanism, mirroring the approach used by other publicly listed bitcoin treasury companies to grow their holdings while avoiding leverage.

The 13 BTC purchase is a relatively small addition compared with some of Capital B’s earlier acquisitions this year, including a 376 BTC purchase for roughly EUR 25.3 million disclosed earlier in September, but the company has continued to publish these confirmations at a steady cadence as part of its regulatory disclosure obligations as a French publicly listed issuer. Each release follows a consistent format, disclosing the size of the purchase, the funding source, and the company’s updated total holdings and BTC yield metric.

Capital B’s approach, smaller, frequent, equity-funded purchases disclosed through regulated French press releases, differs in scale but not in spirit from the much larger bitcoin-buying programs run by U.S.-listed treasury companies. For a mid-sized European issuer, the strategy offers a way to steadily grow bitcoin-per-share exposure for existing shareholders without taking on debt, even as the pace and size of individual purchases remain modest next to the multi-hundred-million-dollar weekly buys disclosed by the largest American treasury companies.
