  • US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded $118.8 million in total net inflows on October 6, 2026, according to Farside Investors’ daily flow tracker
  • BlackRock’s IBIT led the day with $122.0 million in inflows, more than offsetting outflows from other smaller issuers
  • The positive flow day follows a period of choppier bitcoin ETF activity as the funds approach their second anniversary in the US market

US spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted $118.8 million in combined net inflows on October 6, 2026, according to daily flow data published by Farside Investors, an on-chain and market data tracker widely referenced by investors monitoring institutional bitcoin ETF demand.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, trading under the ticker IBIT, accounted for the bulk of the day’s activity, pulling in $122.0 million on its own, meaning the fund’s inflows exceeded the industry’s total net figure once outflows from other, smaller issuers are factored in. The data illustrates how concentrated bitcoin ETF demand has remained around BlackRock’s offering relative to competing funds from other asset managers since the products launched in January 2024.

The positive flow day comes amid a period of mixed sentiment in bitcoin markets, with the asset trading well below prior highs even as institutional ETF vehicles continue attracting steady, if uneven, daily demand. Flow trackers such as Farside’s have become a standard reference point for gauging institutional appetite for regulated bitcoin exposure, since the funds report flows daily in contrast to the slower reporting cadence of other investment vehicles.

Daily bitcoin ETF flow data has taken on added significance as more corporate treasuries, pension allocators and wealth managers use the funds as their primary access point to bitcoin exposure rather than holding the asset directly. Sustained inflow days, even relatively modest ones like October 6’s $118.8 million, are generally read by market participants as a sign that institutional demand remains intact despite bitcoin’s price volatility over the preceding weeks, when the asset traded well below the highs it reached earlier in 2026.

The aggregated nature of Farside’s tracker, which compiles flow disclosures across all major US spot bitcoin ETF issuers into a single daily table, gives market participants a near real-time view of where capital is moving within the category. With IBIT once again driving the bulk of October 6’s net inflow, the data underscores BlackRock’s continued dominance in capturing the lion’s share of institutional bitcoin ETF assets relative to its competitors, a pattern that has held since the first spot bitcoin ETFs began trading in the US.
