Kylie Jenner’s X Account Hacked to Push a Pump.fun Token

The token hit a $1.2 million market cap before crashing over 90%, the fifth celebrity account hijack of its kind in two years.

Kylie Jenner’s X account, which has 39.5 million followers, posted a Pump.fun page and a Solana contract address for a token called kylie on August 24. The posts were taken down within minutes. Before the deletion, the token’s market cap reached $1.2 million, then fell more than 90% to below $120,000 once the posts disappeared.

🚨JUST IN: @KylieJenner’s X account posted and then deleted a https://t.co/yTx5y5lK94 address for solana:6b7KQsXqb6JR5Nmeer5zGRmo51dwDfttM5b5Nu2rpump (likely compromised).

The contract address is 6b7KQs…2rpump, and the Pump.fun page was listed under the handle cutekjenner. On-chain data shows the token has since stabilized somewhat, trading around a $245,000 market cap with more than 3,600 holders and about $6.3 million in trading volume in the following 24 hours. Neither Kylie Jenner nor her representatives had issued a statement as of publication.

Not the First Time This Playbook Has Worked

The kylie token is the fifth documented case in roughly two years of a verified account being taken over to shill a memecoin on the same account-takeover-to-crash arc.

Trader GCR and rapper Rich The Kid’s accounts were both hijacked on May 26, 2024, in what appeared to be the same operation. Rich The Kid’s RICH token reached a $90,000 market cap before the post was deleted two hours later. Caitlyn Jenner’s account, hijacked the same day, produced a JENNER token that climbed to a $27.1 million market cap, and her team went on to call the coin real rather than the product of a hack.

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev’s account was hijacked on July 23, 2026, to promote a token called Vladhood tied to Robinhood Chain. That token peaked at a $10.7 million market cap, and on-chain analysis found coordinated wallets pulled in an estimated $1.2 to $1.3 million during the spike before Robinhood confirmed the breach and said it had no association with the coin.

Each of these cases has followed the same shape: a trusted account, a sudden token launch, a fast climb, a deletion, and a crash that leaves early buyers holding the loss. None of the earlier hijackers have been publicly identified or charged, and X has not said what, if anything, has changed about how these accounts get compromised.

What Isn’t Confirmed Yet

It isn’t yet known who compromised Kylie Jenner’s account, whether it is the same operation behind the earlier hijacks, or whether X or Jenner’s team will comment on how the breach happened. The pattern only holds if the next hijack looks the same. If a future case is stopped before a token reaches a real market cap, or if a platform closes off this specific attack path, that would break it.
