Slash Adds Card Payment Processing So Merchants Can Take Payments From the Same Banking Dashboard

  • Slash launched payment processing that lets merchants accept debit and credit card payments directly through their existing Slash banking account
  • The product ships in two forms: native card acceptance inside Slash Invoicing, and a software development kit for custom checkout flows
  • It launches first for e-commerce, telehealth, software, and service-agency businesses, covering the full payment lifecycle from invoice to settlement in one dashboard

Business banking platform Slash introduced payment processing that lets merchants accept debit and credit card payments directly through their existing Slash banking accounts, rather than adding a separate payments vendor on top of their banking relationship. The feature is built to close a gap the company says most growing businesses run into: banking, card issuing, invoicing, and payment processing typically live in separate tools, leaving founders without a single clear view of how money moves through the business.

The new processing capability ships in two forms. Merchants can accept card payments natively inside Slash Invoicing, so an invoice can be paid by card without redirecting a customer to a third-party checkout page, or they can build a custom checkout experience using a software development kit aimed at businesses that need more control over the payment flow itself, such as marketplaces or subscription products.

Beyond accepting payments, the tool gives merchants a single dashboard to view complete customer payment flows, issue partial refunds, track when funds settle into their Slash account, and see fee breakdowns tied to individual invoices rather than a lump-sum statement. Slash said the initial rollout targets e-commerce, telehealth, software, and service-agency businesses, including marketing, advertising, and consulting firms that bill clients on a recurring or project basis.

“Slash payment processing is designed to help increase that visibility and fill one of the blind spots” that card-dominant businesses face when banking and payments are handled separately, said Andy Jiang, Slash’s head of product. Victor Cardenas, the company’s chief executive and co-founder, said a partnership underpinning the launch gives merchants “a reliable payment processing platform” so they can focus on running their business rather than managing payment infrastructure.

The launch extends Slash’s push beyond core business banking and corporate cards into the broader financial stack that growing merchants rely on, following the company’s earlier expansion into global card issuance for businesses operating without a US entity. Slash said additional industries will be added to the payment processing rollout as the product matures.

The new product is built on a payment processing partnership with commerce platform Whop, which supplies underlying processing infrastructure behind the merchant-facing dashboard. Routing the feature through an existing processing partner rather than building card-network relationships from scratch let Slash bring the product to market inside its own banking interface without merchants needing to open a second account elsewhere.
