  • LlamaRisk raised the USDC add cap on Aave V4 Ethereum’s Tokenization Spoke from 1 million to 2 million, doubling available supply capacity
  • The USDC draw cap on V4 Ethereum’s Core Hub Main Spoke rose from 40 million to 50 million, and the USDT draw cap rose from 20 million to 30 million
  • On Aave V4 Arc, the USDC draw cap on the Maple Spoke rose from 41.6 million to 50 million

Aave’s risk manager LlamaRisk posted a set of cap increases to the protocol’s governance forum on November 4, 2026, covering several markets within Aave’s newer V4 architecture, which organizes liquidity into a hub-and-spoke structure rather than the single shared pool model used in earlier versions. The changes reflect growing usage of V4’s still-developing markets as deposits and borrowing demand continue to build.

The most significant single change doubles the USDC add cap on V4 Ethereum’s Tokenization Spoke, raising it from 1 million to 2 million, a move that directly expands how much USDC can be supplied into that particular spoke before hitting a ceiling. Separately, on the same deployment’s Core Hub Main Spoke, the USDC draw cap, which governs how much can actually be borrowed against supplied collateral, rose from 40 million to 50 million, while the USDT draw cap on the same spoke rose from 20 million to 30 million.

A further change affects Aave V4 Arc, a separate deployment, where the USDC draw cap on its Maple Spoke rose from 41.6 million to 50 million. An additional adjustment raised the draw cap on USDG, a stablecoin issued by Paxos, within a Maple-related spoke from 46.4 million to 55 million.

Across all of these changes, the pattern follows Aave’s standard Risk Steward process, in which incremental parameter adjustments can be made without requiring a full governance vote for every individual change, provided they fall within pre-approved bounds. That process lets the protocol respond quickly to shifting utilization levels rather than waiting for a slower, full DAO vote each time a cap needs adjusting, and it has become the primary mechanism through which Aave manages day-to-day liquidity across its growing number of deployments.

The steady drumbeat of cap increases across V4’s various spokes suggests the newer architecture is attracting meaningfully growing deposits and borrowing activity since its initial rollout, even as it continues to operate alongside Aave’s more established V3 markets. The full set of changes is posted on Aave’s own governance forum.
