AIxCrypto Plans Crypto Exit After 50% Loss, Highlights RoboShare Growth

  • AIxCrypto Holdings (Nasdaq: AIXC) filed an Aug. 18 disclosure announcing a planned “orderly exit” from its digital-asset treasury, alongside news that its RoboShare subsidiary completed its first paid robot rental order on Aug. 15.
  • The filing states no sale proceeds, pricing, or timeline for the crypto exit, and no revenue or cost figure for the RoboShare order.
  • AIXC’s crypto holdings were worth $5.21 million as of June 30, down from a $10.43 million cost basis. Cash on hand was $577,328, and the company has flagged substantial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern.

The financial pressure behind the pivot

AIXC held $577,328 in cash and equivalents as of June 30, down from $19.3 million at the end of 2025, a roughly 97% decline. The company’s accumulated deficit stands at $150.3 million, and its 10-Q includes a going-concern warning.

Operating expenses fell 32% between the first and second quarters of 2026, and net loss narrowed to $4.19 million from $6.08 million over the same span. None of that changes what’s missing from the Aug. 18 filing: a number for what the crypto exit will bring in, and a number for what the robotics business has earned so far.

Why it matters

AIXC Shifts Focus to Robotics
AIXC Shifts Focus to Robotics

AIXC’s Aug. 18 filing frames both moves in reassuring terms: an “orderly exit” from crypto, and a completed “paid commercial order” for its new robotics business. The filing itself is thin on the numbers that would let investors judge either claim.

The crypto side

AIXC’s most recent quarterly filing puts its digital-asset holdings at $5.21 million in fair value as of June 30, against a $10.43 million cost basis, a roughly 50% unrealized loss. The holdings span nine assets, led by 46 bitcoin (down to $2.7 million from a $4.94 million cost) and 616 ether (down to $967,000 from $2.31 million). The company recorded a net loss on digital assets of $2.93 million for the first half of 2026.

Those figures describe what AIXC held at the end of June, seven weeks before the Aug. 18 announcement. The filing does not say how much of that position has been or will be sold, at what price, or on what schedule.

The robotics side

AIXC launched RoboShare on June 22 at the Automate trade show, describing it as an asset-light marketplace that connects robot owners with businesses rather than requiring AIXC to buy the robots itself. CEO Jerry Wang said the company had “designated it our top operating priority for H2 2026, concentrating resources behind what we believe is our nearest path to revenue.” President and CFO Jay Sheng said the quarter’s results “mirror the operating narrative: progress toward commercialization, a declining cost base, and unchanged share count.”

RoboShare's First Paid Robot Order
RoboShare’s First Paid Robot Order

RoboShare’s first paid order, on Aug. 15, deployed six robots, a humanoid, four quadrupeds, and a robot dog, to a Malibu event booked by Los Angeles entertainer DU$TY. The company has outlined plans to expand into nine more cities beyond Los Angeles. It has not said what the Malibu booking earned or cost to deliver, or whether a second paid order has followed.

How AIXC got here

  • Nov. 20, 2025: Qualigen Therapeutics rebrands as AIxCrypto Holdings and begins a digital-asset treasury strategy, a corporate practice of holding cryptocurrency as a balance-sheet asset.
  • June 22, 2026: The company launches RoboShare, an on-demand marketplace for renting robots to businesses and event organizers.
  • Aug. 15, 2026: RoboShare completes its first paid order, delivering six robots to a Malibu event.
  • Aug. 18, 2026: AIXC files an 8-K disclosing plans to exit its crypto treasury.

Not the only one

AIXC isn’t the only Nasdaq-listed digital-asset treasury company retreating this year. Sequans, a French company, has said it will liquidate its Bitcoin holdings entirely. Trump Media has said it’s moving away from Bitcoin after roughly $200 million in losses.

Strategy sold Bitcoin in 2026 for the first time since 2022. AIXC’s version of that retreat is paired with a specific claim, that a robotics rental business is its “nearest path to revenue,” which its own disclosures don’t yet back with numbers. AIXC’s next quarterly filing would be the place to look for those numbers: actual proceeds from crypto sales, and revenue or cost figures for RoboShare orders.
