- BitMine Immersion Technologies said its ether holdings have reached 6,001,302 ETH, equal to roughly 4.9% of ETH’s total circulating supply of about 122.1 million tokens
- Combined with 213 bitcoin, cash, marketable securities, and other investments, the company’s total holdings are worth approximately $17.2 billion
- The company says it is now 98% toward its publicly stated goal of accumulating 5% of ETH’s total supply within 15 months of launching its treasury strategy on June 30, 2025
BitMine Immersion Technologies said in a release distributed on PR Newswire at 8:30 a.m. ET on September 28, 2026 that its ether holdings have topped 6 million tokens, reaching 6,001,302 ETH. The company said that figure equals approximately 4.9% of ETH’s total circulating supply of about 122.1 million tokens.
Combined with 213 bitcoin, $180 million invested in Beast Industries, $115 million invested in Eightco Holdings (Nasdaq: ORBS), and $672 million in cash and other marketable securities, the company put its total crypto, cash, and marketable securities holdings at approximately $17.2 billion. Of the ETH position, the release said 5,067,309 tokens are actively staked, valued at approximately $13.7 billion.
“Bitmine’s total ETH holdings now exceed 6 million. This is a tremendous achievement, accumulating this total in under 15 months,” said BitMine Chairman Tom Lee, referencing the company’s self-described “Alchemy of 5%” strategy of accumulating roughly 5% of ETH’s total supply.
The company said it is now 98% of the way toward that 5%-of-supply target, having launched the underlying treasury strategy on June 30, 2025. Reaching the full target would require BitMine’s holdings to grow only modestly further from the current 4.9% figure, a threshold the company appears positioned to cross in the near term at its recent pace of accumulation.
BitMine’s disclosures follow the same weekly cadence adopted by several other publicly traded companies pursuing large-scale cryptocurrency treasury strategies, giving the market a regularly updated, company-reported figure for both the size and composition of its holdings alongside the staking status of its ETH position.
Staking the bulk of its ether holdings, rather than simply holding the tokens unstaked, lets BitMine earn ongoing network rewards on top of any price appreciation, an approach that has become standard practice among ether-focused treasury companies since staking became straightforward to manage at institutional scale following Ethereum’s shift to proof of stake.
The company’s supplementary holdings in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings, disclosed alongside its core crypto position, reflect a broader strategy of diversifying beyond bitcoin and ether alone into a wider set of investments, even as ether accumulation remains the central pillar of the treasury and the primary figure the company highlights in each weekly update.
