  • Strategy’s early-November 8-K disclosed buying 811 bitcoin, funded through at-the-market share sales, a notably smaller weekly figure than several of its recent disclosures
  • Strive’s own early-November disclosure showed a purchase of just 124 bitcoin, a sharp drop from the 6,182 bitcoin it bought the week before
  • Both companies continue to fund purchases primarily through capital markets activity rather than existing cash reserves, meaning the pace of buying tracks closely with how much fresh capital each company raises in a given week

Two of the most closely watched publicly traded bitcoin treasury companies both disclosed notably smaller weekly bitcoin purchases in their early-November filings than investors following their recent activity might have expected. Strategy’s 8-K covering the week through November 1, 2026 disclosed a purchase of 811 bitcoin, funded through sales of its Class A common stock under an at-the-market program. Strive’s own filing for a similar period disclosed just 124 bitcoin, a steep drop from the 6,182 bitcoin the company had purchased just one week earlier.

Neither disclosure necessarily signals a change in strategy on its own, but together they offer a useful reminder of how closely the pace of corporate bitcoin accumulation tracks the pace of capital raising, rather than following some fixed weekly target. Both companies fund the overwhelming majority of their bitcoin purchases through ongoing sales of new shares or preferred stock into the market, meaning the dollar amount available to spend on bitcoin in any given week depends heavily on how much fresh capital that week’s market activity actually raised.

Strive’s case is the more dramatic swing of the two in percentage terms. Its 6,182-bitcoin purchase the prior week represented an increase of nearly 17% to its total holdings in a single week, an unusually large single-week addition even by the standards of aggressive treasury companies. Following that with a purchase of just 124 bitcoin, under one percent of its total holdings, suggests that particular large raise may have been a one-time event tied to a specific capital markets transaction rather than the start of a new, sustained weekly pace.

Strategy’s slowdown is less extreme in percentage terms, since 811 bitcoin against its much larger existing base of 849,327 bitcoin represents a smaller relative addition regardless of the dollar amount involved, but the company’s own disclosure still shows it raising and deploying meaningfully less capital for bitcoin purchases in this particular week than in some of its more aggressive recent stretches.

For anyone tracking these companies’ accumulation pace as a signal of broader institutional demand for bitcoin, the lesson from this particular week is that a single outsized purchase, or a single notably small one, is often better read as a reflection of that week’s specific capital markets activity than as a definitive shift in long-term strategy. The Strategy filing underlying this comparison is available on SEC EDGAR.
