  • US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of $643.3 million on October 30, 2026, the single worst trading day of the month
  • IBIT led the outflows at $233.7 million, followed by FBTC at $201.0 million, ARKB at $129.5 million, GBTC at $53.3 million, and BITB at $25.7 million
  • The day’s outflow pushed October’s month-to-date net flow to negative $515.0 million across 22 trading days, with 13 inflow days against 9 outflow days

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a net outflow of $643.3 million on October 30, 2026, according to data tracked by Farside Investors, making it the single worst trading day for the category across the entire month. The outflow was broad-based across several of the category’s largest funds rather than concentrated in just one.

BlackRock’s IBIT, the largest fund in the category, led the day’s redemptions at $233.7 million, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC at $201.0 million. ARK and 21Shares’ ARKB saw $129.5 million in outflows, Grayscale’s GBTC lost $53.3 million, and Bitwise’s BITB gave up $25.7 million. The remaining funds tracked, including BTCO, EZBC, BRRR, HODL, BTCW and MSBT, recorded no net creations or redemptions that day.

The scale of the single-day outflow is notable set against the month as a whole. October 2026’s cumulative net flow across its 22 trading days through October 30 stood at negative $515.0 million, meaning the October 30 outflow alone was larger in magnitude than the entire month’s net total up to that point, implying the rest of the month had actually been running close to flat or modestly positive before this one sharply negative day pulled the monthly figure deeper into outflow territory. The month included 13 days of net inflows against 9 days of net outflows, underscoring how a single large down day can outweigh a majority of positive days when the negative day is large enough.

Daily ETF flow data of this kind has become one of the most closely watched real-time indicators of institutional sentiment toward bitcoin, since the funds provide a relatively transparent, dollar-denominated proxy for buying and selling pressure from the traditional brokerage and institutional investor base that uses them, as opposed to flows on crypto-native exchanges.

At the time this figure was gathered, data for October 31 and the first two days of November had not yet been published, since Farside’s tracker updates on the schedule of US market trading days. The figures are tracked on tftc.io’s Bitcoin ETF flows page, which mirrors Farside Investors’ own data.
