Solana Introduces STRIDE Security Framework: The Solana Foundation announced a series of initiatives aimed at improving the overall security of its ecosystem. The announcement includes the launch of STRIDE, short for Solana Trust, Resilience and Infrastructure for DeFi Enterprises.

STRIDE is designed as a structured program to monitor and evaluate the security of projects operating within the Solana ecosystem. The initiative will be led by security firm Asymmetric Research, which will conduct independent evaluations using its proprietary security framework. According to the foundation, the results of these evaluations will be made publicly available, providing transparency for users and investors.

Incentives Based on Total Value Locked: The program introduces tiered incentives based on a protocol’s total value locked (TVL). Projects that exceed $10 million in TVL and successfully pass the evaluation will receive ongoing operational security support along with active threat monitoring funded by the Solana Foundation. Protocols with more than $100 million in TVL will be offered additional support, including access to formal verification tools for smart contracts.

Launch of Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN)

Alongside STRIDE, the foundation also introduced the Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN), a membership-based network consisting of security firms and researchers focused on the Solana ecosystem.

Founding participants in SIRN include Asymmetric, OtterSec, and Neodyme. The network will be available to all Solana-based protocols, with access prioritized based on TVL. Despite these new initiatives, the Solana Foundation emphasized that responsibility for maintaining strong security practices remains with individual projects. The foundation stated that these resources are intended to enhance security efforts, not replace them.
