  • US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a combined net outflow of $261.4 million on October 14, 2026, according to Farside Investors data
  • Fidelity’s FBTC led the redemptions with $152.7 million leaving the fund, followed by BlackRock’s IBIT at $110.9 million
  • Bitwise’s BITB was the lone bright spot among major issuers, posting a modest $2.2 million net inflow even as the broader category saw heavy selling

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds swung sharply back into net outflow territory on October 14, 2026, shedding $261.4 million in a single trading day, according to daily flow data compiled by Farside Investors. The reversal came just one trading day after the category had posted a $175.7 million net inflow on October 13, underscoring how quickly sentiment in the category can flip from one session to the next.

Fidelity’s FBTC absorbed the largest share of the day’s redemptions, losing $152.7 million, while BlackRock’s IBIT, the largest spot Bitcoin ETF by assets, saw $110.9 million in outflows. Those two funds alone accounted for the overwhelming majority of the day’s total net redemptions across the category, with smaller issuers contributing comparatively modest amounts to the overall outflow figure.

Not every fund moved in the same direction. Bitwise’s BITB stood out as the single exception among the major spot Bitcoin ETFs tracked by Farside, pulling in a small net inflow of $2.2 million even as the category overall bled money, a reminder that aggregate daily flow figures can mask meaningful divergence in investor behavior between competing issuers on any given trading day.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs let investors gain regulated, brokerage-account exposure to Bitcoin’s price without directly holding or custodying the underlying asset, and daily net flow data across the category has become one of the most closely watched real-time gauges of institutional and retail sentiment toward the asset since the first wave of funds launched in the United States in January 2024. Single-day swings between large inflows and large outflows, like the move from October 13’s $175.7 million inflow to October 14’s $261.4 million outflow, are read by traders less as noise and more as a signal of how quickly positioning can shift when market conditions change.

Farside’s daily Bitcoin ETF flow table aggregates net creation and redemption activity across all major US spot Bitcoin ETF issuers into a single combined figure for each trading day. The site’s data did not attribute a specific catalyst to the October 14 reversal, leaving the swing from the prior day’s inflow to this day’s outflow as a standalone data point for traders to interpret alongside broader price action in the asset.
