BSC Chain Scam : New ‘Honeypot’ Scam Drains $100,000 via #4Agent Token

A sophisticated “Honeypot” scam has been detected on the BSC Chain involving the recently launched #4Agent (Gork4.2 themed) meme token. Security platform GoPlus Security have issued an alert after it was revealed that investors, including several crypto influencers (KOLs) and “Smart Money” traders, have lost a combined total of 170 BNB (approximately $100,000 USD). The #4Agent token was launched amidst significant social media hype on the BSC Chain, making it appear as a lucrative investment opportunity. While the token was easily purchasable on PancakeSwap and showed rapid price appreciation, investors soon discovered they were unable to sell their holdings. This is a classic “Honeypot” tactic where the smart contract code is modified to prevent sell orders. In some instances, even if a sale is processed, the contract is set to levy a 99-100% transaction tax, effectively diverting the entire value to the scammer’s wallet.

Critical Wallet and Contract Details:

Investors are urged to flag and avoid the following addresses associated with this exploit on the BSC Chain:

  • Token Contract Address (CA): 0x15eadc6a76ebe63758ca917a0a1f526b00ca1111

  • Scammer Developer Address: 0xc7a15250ef489f2ba958b250baefa820a65855fe (Initial funding traced back to Bitget exchange).

  • Direct Fund Transfer (123.7 BNB): Sent to 0xFcc7873C52AE1ADA55a01d6c2976dB381C514EB5

  • Bridged Fund Transfer (46 BNB): Swapped to ETH and moved via Orbiter Bridge to 0x96f4885d32ffc2b6ba9e429ac777440e3df7e775

  • Developer’s Previous Scam Tokens (Blacklist):

    • DEBOT: 0x4C2F9c8dD68bE5B137E5dB2116D0B44d7197e2eD

    • U Lottery: 0xf46bd4c8A725e5650F927E35b55c3DBACA9CDF2d

A Serial Scammer’s Methodology

On-chain investigation confirms that this developer is a “serial scammer” responsible for previous fraudulent projects such as DEBOT and U Lottery. By utilizing the Orbiter Bridge to move stolen funds from the BSC Chain to the Ethereum network, the perpetrator has made the recovery of assets extremely difficult. The use of trending themes like “Gork4.2” is a recurring strategy used by this individual to lure in unsuspecting retail investors during periods of high market volatility.

Safety Warning for Investors

With the surge of meme tokens on the BSC Chain, investors must exercise extreme caution. It is vital to use security tools to verify a Contract Address (CA) for sell-restrictions or malicious code before committing any capital. Staying away from developers with a history of failed or fraudulent projects and remaining skeptical of tokens with “too good to be true” price action is the best way to protect your digital assets.

These “Honeypot” tactics are just one of many methods scammers use to target liquidity in the DeFi space. Similar vulnerabilities have recently been observed in other major protocols, such as the on-chain attack on the Uniswap v4 Router04 which led to over $42,100 being drained. Staying informed about these evolving threats across different networks is the only way to navigate the current high-risk crypto landscape safely.
