Institutional digital asset infrastructure provider Talos has integrated Kalshi’s prediction markets into its trading platform, enabling select clients to access CFTC-regulated event contracts and crypto perpetual futures through the same infrastructure they already use for digital asset trading. The integration is designed to eliminate the need for separate exchange connectivity while bringing institutional execution tools to a market that has largely been dominated by retail participants.

The partnership expands Talos’ institutional trading capabilities by combining prediction markets with crypto derivatives under a unified workflow. Market makers, hedge funds, and other professional traders can execute Kalshi trades using the platform’s existing algorithmic execution suite and block trading infrastructure, reducing operational complexity for firms already active in digital assets.

Talos Extends Institutional Trading Infrastructure

Rather than launching a new trading venue, Talos is integrating Kalshi’s markets into its existing execution ecosystem. Institutional clients can trade event contracts alongside Kalshi perpetual futures without building new APIs or maintaining separate trading systems. The platform supports a range of professional execution tools, including:

  • Iceberg, Pegged, Sniper, TWAP and POV algorithmic orders
  • Request-for-Quote (RFQ) block trading for large off-exchange transactions
  • Multi-leg execution for perpetual-to-perpetual and perpetual-to-spot spread strategies
  • Access to OTC liquidity providers through Talos’ RFQ network

Talos also said it plans to expand its multi-leg execution suite to support prediction-market-to-perpetual spread trading in the future, allowing institutions to combine event contracts with crypto derivatives in a single strategy.

Why Kalshi Fits Institutional Demand

Kalshi’s status as a CFTC-regulated exchange is central to the partnership. Unlike many crypto-native prediction markets, its regulatory framework aligns more closely with the structure institutions already use for futures and options trading, making integration easier for compliance-focused firms.

Andy Ross, Head of Institutional at Kalshi, said working with Talos allows institutional buy-side and sell-side participants to access Kalshi through infrastructure they already operate. Talos CEO Anton Katz added that prediction markets, 24/7 trading and digital settlement are converging, requiring institutional-grade technology to support future market growth.

Unified Platform for Professional Traders

The integration aims to simplify institutional participation by consolidating multiple trading functions into a single platform.

Previous workflow Talos integration
Separate exchange connectivity Single institutional interface
Independent execution systems Unified algorithmic execution
Separate block trading process Integrated RFQ platform
Multiple market data feeds Shared market data infrastructure
Manual operational setup Existing institutional workflow

Talos also plans to introduce a harmonized market data feed that aggregates prediction market events, order books, trades, open interest and implied probabilities across supported venues through the same API clients already use for crypto market data.

Institutional Push Beyond Retail Prediction Markets

The partnership reflects Kalshi’s broader strategy to expand beyond its retail user base and attract hedge funds, banks and market makers. Kalshi’s reported $40 billion valuation target in fresh funding talks further highlights the growing investor interest in prediction markets. Industry observers view institutional participation as a key step toward improving liquidity and establishing prediction markets as a more widely accepted financial instrument.

Recent coverage indicates Kalshi has increasingly positioned prediction markets as tools for risk management and market intelligence rather than speculative trading alone, with institutional demand becoming a growing focus of its expansion strategy.

What’s Next

Beyond the initial integration, Talos plans to expand dealer software so brokers and trading platforms can distribute Kalshi event contracts to eligible end customers, subject to local regulations. The company also intends to roll out a unified prediction market data service and additional cross-market trading strategies as institutional adoption grows, as Kalshi’s reported $2 billion revenue highlights the scale of demand driving the prediction market sector.

The integration signals a broader shift in digital asset infrastructure, where regulated prediction markets are increasingly being incorporated into institutional trading systems alongside crypto derivatives, giving professional investors access to a wider range of event-driven trading opportunities through familiar execution workflows.
